When we moved to Marietta, GA, in 1974, we had no place for the Studebaker and left it parked in Val's parents' yard, under a tree and too close to a creek. That environment caused interior damage, exterior damage, clutch lockup, and, probably, some engine damage. We left the Hawk there until 1978 by which time we had moved to where we currently live in Oak Ridge, TN, and built a garage to shelter it. These photos show some of the areas that rusted and deteriorated during this period.
